SESSIONS:

TIPS FOR CLIENTS:

Thank you for taking the time to stop by and to consider Leslie for your portrait needs. Hiring a professional photographer can be a hard experience, especially for a family with busy, active children, but rest assured that the time with Leslie will be FUN, LAID BACK and RELAXED!!!

FAQ #: "So how does this work?"

Part of Leslie's job as your portrait photographer is to accommodate your vision for what you want out of your time with her. Since she shoots in natural light, she encourages you to come up with an outdoor location of your choice and that you and your family feel comfortable in. But the cloudy overcast days are the best for outdoor shoots. That can become part of your photos to look back on with fond memories. .

FAQ #2: "What should I WEAR?"

The most preferred choices would be to wear solid colors and something simple. Clothing choices should be considered and coordinated carefully as they will be a big determining factor in the final outcome of your portraits.

Khakis and white shirts are nice timeless look!!!

Jeans white shirts for the girls and light blue shirts for the boys or everyone with white shirts or black
Jeans, khakis and sundresses are classic choices. \

Layers look great, layer, layer layer. Fun hats and dressing up looks beautiful as well.

Christmas colors (red and green) are nice with Khakis or dress clothes

Earth tones look beautiful with outdoor photos. Dress clothes look really nice as well especially for the Holidays. If there are more than two or more people you can have 2 different color tones to mix it up a little. Example might be 2 people wear black and two people wear brown or two people where red and two wear white.

Turquoise and coral pop out in a natural outdoor setting.

AVOIDED: Busy patterns, stripes, pokadots and logos
take the attention away from the face and can also date YOUR portrait. But, there are times when trendier, colorful clothing can make for an adorable portrait so feel free to bring a costume or even a favorite outfit. In the end, the photos captured should reflect YOU! Hats and other accessories can also add spark and interest to your portraits. Although bare feet are a wonderful choice, if shoes must be worn, they should be kept as simple as possible. If you are having trouble selecting an outfit, bring several and Leslie can help you choose which will achieve the look you want for your portraits..

Dressing for a photo session means looking the your best, but in a casual way. For families, pay attention to how your clothes coordinate rather than "match" and avoid loud patterns and colors that will draw attention away from YOU.

Bright colors are more appropriate for children than adults and always stick to styles that are more classic and timeless rather than trendy. As for babies and newborns, sometimes a simple diaper cover or no clothes at all work the best!

FAQ #3: "What to bring for a NEWBORN session?"

1. A couple blankets for outdoor sessions of babies under one year old. One to sit on if the grass is wet, one for the baby to keep warm. Iit helps in between shoots to bundle them up.
2. extra clothes in case you and your husband get soiled on during the session.

3. bottles, extra formula, wrap for feeding baby,

4. Hats, PROPS, are adorable on newborns as well. LESLIE HAS TONS OF HATS, PROPS FROM ETSY, AND DIFFERENT BACKGROUNDS TO CHOOSE FROM.

5 extra clothing (few outfits AND FOR THE PARENTS AS WELL IN CASE THE BABY WETS ON YOU), diapers, wipes, BOTTLES, FORMULA, FOOD, SOMETHING TO DRINK IT TAKES 1-3 HOURS.

FAQ #4: "What happens if my child is uncooperative?"

Toddlers often want to RUN AWAY! It's what they do best. Don't stress, just let them do what they want. There's no point in having an UNhappy toddler during a photo shoot. Leslie will usually photograph the family poses first before they start to fuss and want to play on their own. It's at that point when Leslie will follow at a distance in hopes of coaxing a sharing attitude from them. Be prepared ahead of time by making sure they've napped and snacked prior to the session. You'll be very thankful later that you did!

FAQ #5: "Is there a minimum order requirement?"

A non refundable requirement which is deducted on your total price for the session. images you will undoubtedly fall in love with.

Leslie's time with you may only last a couple hours, but the photographs she will create for you should last you a lifetime.Think seriously about how you want to display. Whether it's a leather album or a canvas in your living room, make sure your investment is enjoyed out in the open, not stored in a dusty box in the attic or a shelf in the garage. Showcase your memories for your family and friends to see when they visit..
It's amazing how fast children grow, and to see it before your eyes will remind you of how precious and fleeting those moments are. THESE are the days to remember...forever.
